HI, I’M MICHELLE

I’m a hairstylist with 16 years experience, a Mam of two, a devoted red head and I always have hair spray with me!

Most brides don’t want a different look. They want to look like themselves on the best day of their life, and that’s what I style.

I am based in Drogheda, Co. Louth, and can travel to venues within 90 minutes drive of Drogheda. I use City North Hotel on the M1 for all bridal trials.

My favoured style is natural but can adapt to your ideas and personality. I can work with your hair as it is, with its texture, its curl and its quirks, and style it around you, your dress and your day. I’m happiest with brides who have a vision for their whole wedding, and who want to look the best versions of themselves on the day.

Most brides start with a trial, where we try ideas and work out what suits you. On the day, I come to you and style the bride, bridesmaids and mothers, if needed, in a calm room that runs to time.

I trained under Vidal Sassoon protégé David Marshall at his Academy on Georges Street, Dublin, where I earned my Diploma in Hairdressing, certified by the World Federation of Hair and Beauty Schools. In 2016 I completed Sam McKnight’s Mastered:Hair course. Before weddings became my main focus, I worked as a session stylist on fashion and editorial projects, which taught me to look at the whole picture: the dress, the light, the shape of a face, and how hair photographs.

My work has been featured on Xposé and Ireland AM, and on blogs including One Fab Day, Style Me Pretty, Once Wed, We See It and Hitched Magazine. It has also been published in Social & Personal, Stellar, Image, The Irish Times, The Irish Independent and Totally Dublin.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR NEEDS & YOUR HAIR

Bridal hairdressing is different to the styling you might be used to in hair salons. To last all day, the hair needs to be prepared in a specific way to ensure it remains looking fresh and soft. This takes time and a hairdresser with this specialised experience can give you the best advice and overall service.

The wedding morning  may be full of excitement and anticipation, however, it is safe to say there may be few nerves as well! You definitely do not want to be worrying about your hairdresser not coming up to the mark. You need someone you can rely on to arrive on time and style both you and your Wedding Party with efficiency and flair. Carrying out all of this, while creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere is what every Bride needs. I often meets clients anxious about whether their thick/curly/fine/damaged hair, will be ‘understood’ and managed correctly.  Having been a wedding hairdresser since 2010, there is no hair-type that I haven’t encountered.
